CURRENT PROJECTS/PORTFOLIO:
Layne Morgan Media is proud to present our four-issue series of illustrated
youth educational literature created for the Chickasaw Nation, CHICKASAW
ADVENTURES. The Chickasaws have chosen this exciting tool to educate
both the Chickasaw youth and the greater American youth on its invaluable
history, tradition, and culture. Readers of all ages will be turning the
pages following the adventures of Johnny, a modern young Chickasaw boy,
as he travels through time learning about the history of his ancestors.

Layne Morgan Media is proud to present Think Before You Drink, an alternative educational
approach to the issue of underage drinking. Think Before You Drink discusses the topics of
peer pressure, parent-child relationships, and relationships with the opposite sex in the
context of underage drinking. The central character contains a balance of flaws and
responsibility any teenage can relate to and respect. In a society where education
regarding drinking can sway from too rigid to too relaxed, this comic book lies somewhere in
the middle, accompanying most of its teenage readers. Its message is focused on the dangers
of underage drinking, binge drinking, and alcohol’s role in the risk of vehicle accidents
involving teens. Layne Morgan is proud to present our single issue illustrated youth educational
literature dealing with the issues of abstinence in pre-teens and teens,
TO WAIT IS TO WIN. Through an exploration
of four high school characters living a realistic and relatable plot,
readers can learn about the importance of abstinence along with information
regarding teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, and ways of dealing
with peer pressure. The story allows the reader to see the lives of four
teens affected by issues dealing with sex, and at the end of the book,
allows the reader to take a quiz to help him/her learn and retain essential
information regarding this highly important issue affecting youth today.
Strongly supported by community professionals, including gynecologists,
social workers, teachers, and administrators, this book is fast becoming
an essential tool in the sex education curricula.
Layne Morgan Media is proud to present Up in Smoke, an important educational resource in
the fight to prevent teen smoking. Unlike many of the educational materials targeted toward
the prevention of teenage smoking, this book stresses not just statistics but the complex
events around and related to decisions to smoke. Up in Smoke also stresses the increased
occurrences of dangerous risk behaviors, such as teenage sex and alcohol abuse, in teens who
choose to smoke. Readers are encouraged to look at a bigger picture of possible consequences
following a decision to begin smoking, therefore increasing the seriousness and weight of
that decision.
Layne Morgan Media is proud to present No More Bull, an educational graphic novel, or comic
book, developedto aid elementary students' understanding of what bullying is, who is involved and
the actions necessary to make a positive difference. No More Bull tells the stories of the
bullying victims, the bullies, and the bystanders, giving the issue the depth and complexity
necessary for students to truly understand the scope of bullying and its consequences. The book
culminates with a series of essay/discussion questions designed specifically to promote a
classroom dialogue about bullying using the book's plot and characters as a means for a safe,
third-person discussion.
Layne Morgan Media is proud to present its largest undertaking thus far, in the groundbreaking
production of a book devoted to teaching the youth of Malawi, Africa about the devastating
consequences of unprotected sex and the ways to protect against HIV/AIDS. These characters touch
on real-life issues that influence decisions by Malawian youth about sex, such as coming-of-age
and the fear of saying, “No,” while at the same time portraying hospital officials as friendly,
non-judgmental people who are approachable and accessible. While these issues may seem strange
to the American reader, they ring true to those living in Malawi, whose culture vastly differs
from that of American youth.
Layne Morgan is proud to present our promotional comic S.W.A.T.: Students Working Against Trouble
Students Working Against Trouble. In this
book, students come together to challenge a bully determined to pressure
his fellow students to do drugs. A short advertisement for the important
work of the O.N.D.C.P., this project is a great example of how to use
these creative materials to gain publicity and inform the average citizen.
Layne Morgan Media is pleased to present C.A.P. Corps: Conservation and Protection, illustrated
promotional material designed for state departments of conservation across the nation. C.A.P.
Corps is a powerful tool with which to generate revenue and awareness of conservation issues.
Education pages are customized to address issues as they become relevant, including recycling,
global warming, and pollution. This will allow kids to learn interactively about important
environmental causes while at the same time providing exciting, “cool” role models to emulate in
their treatment of the earth and its resources. Layne Morgan Media is proud to present the only recruitment/promotional material of its kind,
USAF Adventures, a book designed for educating youth on the important work of the United States
Air Force. USAF Adventures is the first issue in a potential series exploring the history and
activities of the US Air Force. It is written and produced to increase the awareness of the US
Air Force as a potential career path, as well as provide an excellent source of positive public
relation with the American public.
Layne Morgan Media, Inc. is proud to present T.R.T. Terrorist Response Team, a book designed
to educate youth on important issues concerning national security and the new vocabulary
associated with terrorism. Throughout the book, terms and issues are discussed in a
non-threatening way to educate children on the sensitive topic of homeland security. Its
message reiterates the importance of American freedom and our role in fighting terrorism. |
